Ryan Ly is an accomplished entertainment industry professional. In 2013, he became the youngest equity partner and department leader in the history of Creative Artists Agency, where he served as a television literary agent for nine years. Originally a trainee in the agency’s television department, Ryan Ly went on to become a leading driver of client bookings.
From the first years of his tenure as an agent, Ryan Ly coordinated the placement of writers, directors, and producers on a number of high-profile television series, including Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. He represented more writing nominees for Emmy, Golden Globe, and Writers Guild Awards than any competitor, and he went on to continue this track record of success when he accepted his leadership position.
Responsible for 18 agents across three offices, Mr. Ly placed more than 500 clients in the last broadcast year of his tenure. He also achieved industry-wide prominence as a member of The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Next Gen roster, which acknowledges high-achieving young executives in entertainment.
